It was Mothers Day here in Thailand.  Mothers day in Thailand is celebrated on the Queens birthday, 12 August.  Likewise, Fathers Day is celebrated on the Kings birthday which is the 5th December, just a week after my own birthday.

At Megan’s school they had a special day for the mothers so that the kids could give a little show for them.  I have attached a couple of videos from the day.

Last Sunday we were sitting around the house with no real plans to do anything.  Nok said that she would like to eat some seafood so we decided on the spur of the moment to drive to Bang Saen.  We had been there 20 months ago for New Year and we remembered that there was a good Seafood place at the north end of the beach.  As it is only 70mins drive it seemed to be the best option.

Food was good and we had a really nice time.  After stuffing our face we drove down the beach a bit so that Megan could play in the sand for a while.  Water here was filthy, it was actually black for the first couple of meters and then if faded out to a dark brown.

We had a nice day out though and I think it was better because it was not planed out beforehand. 

Nok has been at the hospital the last couple of Fridays getting checked with the baby.  2 weeks ago they were doing an in depth ultrasound so that they could check everything was going well before they did the Amnio Test one week later.  The pics from the scan are rally clear and you can see the baby really well now.

Yesterday Megan was really excited when she saw a rainbow in the sky and asked Nok who had painted it.  They ran round the corner to get a better look and a few photos.

This week Nok got the new Honda Jazz.  It is really nice and I think even she is starting to enjoy having a "small" car after driving a big car for the past 12 years. 

Maybe she will even let me drive it sometimes.
